bamboo update

so the basement is cold. i've made a little bamboo blanket for my bamboo's vase. set it near the window but not too close. and then i've stratigically positioned it under the heating vent. it is greener than before... but leaning more towards yellow. i'm trying bamboo!! please don't die on me yet! darn winter temperatures....and lack of humidity

my bamboo plant hates me

i trimmed off the yellow tips and the one dying leaf... and now it is turning white! what does that mean? this is the droopiest i have ever seen my bamboo plant. i don't know what to do. so i thought.... it's in the cold basement, we don't have much humidity because spiders like that, and i don't like spiders. so what do i do? one of my desperate attempts to warm it up was setting it near the crock pot. steam comes out, right? i've watched crock pots and some steam escapes. and if nothing else it is warmer. i think i'm going to get some bamboo food. and play some classical music, and talk even nicer to it. (yes i already talk to my plant).....anyway.... i hope something works. i have never been able to keep a plant alive until this bamboo plant. it has been 2 1/2 years now since i bought it, and it has grown so much! i really hope it changes it's mind and decides to like me.
